The flag, to me, represents freedom. The opportunities this country has given me are unmatched. The opportunities are endless, there is nothing I cannot do or become because of what that flag stands for. In many other countries my prospects would be limited because of my gender or the fact that I reject religion.., but here none of that matters. So thankful for my life in the USA. I think if they want to protest anything our flag/ national anthem isn't the place.

To me it's not about free speech, it's about disrespecting our flag. A flag many people died defending so that we have the freedom we have, including the right to protest.
Isn't there a better way than this to bring light to this supposed problem?

I am so sorry for your loss. Something I learned early on, JW's will exploit any painful situation to hurt you more. It is intentional and encouraged. I limit what I share with my family ( the ones that still speak to me) because I know they are not capable of support and will cause further trauma.
You were given information about your mother from this interaction, information you can use to make better choices concerning her in the future.

Counter-protests to Free Speech Rally in Boston
by Anony Mous ini never thought i would see that in the us, a "free speech rally" (which has distanced itself from and organizers have nothing at all to do with the right, republicans or extremism) is being counter protested by thousands in boston today, the counter protests being organized by a coalition of black supremacists and sjw's.. on the other hand, google is building a database of speech that doesn't align with the left-wing political values.. i'm not sure what youngsters are thinking these days, but free speech used to be the cornerstone of american civilizations only a few decades ago.
the only way to drown out "bad" free speech is more free speech..

I am not sure what the solution is, but we are headed for a civil war. People need to take a step back and realize that our own personal opinions are not always the only opinion, and growth can happen when we come together to find solutions. But the way things are that is not going to happen anytime soon.
When you start silencing views you don't agree with, it's all downhill from there as a society. Throughout history silencing views and restricting free speech has ended badly.

one manned by a man and woman (i assume they're a couple) in their late 30s.. the guys walks off to the other cart as im walking by, i wasn't going to approach but the woman holding the awake!

I don't see witnesses very often, but I would love to ask them about Lot. So after his wife was turned to salt. His daughters supposedly got him drunk and then had sex with him. After they answer with Jehovah allowed this blah blah. Then I want to ask if one of their members got drunk and had sex with two women what would happen? Would he be excused because he was drunk? Did Lot not realize that he was getting blitzed? Would the family be held up as an example?
I travel for work, so waiting to run into them!

"Only Witnesses demonstrate Christian Love"

i had to asked her "why do you believe that this religion is the correct one?
" they stood quiet for a second but then said that they view and feel genuine christian love, a type of love that is spoken about in the bible.

The WatchTower conductor lied on stage
by Isambard Crater inon sunday morning in the watchtower study, a "study" who was their for the 1st time put his hand up and said; "i have a question.
when the paragraph says give up everything, it doesn't really mean give up everything like the pearl merchant, does it, like be willing to lose my modest house, cheap car and other basics i own?
i mean, that sounds a bit much".. the watchtower conductor said in response; "no, it's just a parable and it doesn't mean give up everything.
